Born and raised on the beautiful Maine coast, I grew up cherishing handmade items crafted by my mom, grandmothers and other family members. My mom used to make all of our clothes when we were little and my great-grandmother tatted lace doilies and other things. My aunt taught me "fancy work" (her term for embroidery) and I still use that for relaxation when I make counted cross stitch items for weddings and gifts.
Jewelry making was never something that I did in my younger years, but fell in love with all of the colorful possibilities when I visited a bead shop on the coast of Maine with a friend. Overwhelmed with all of the stones, crystals, and materials, I proudly created my first necklace and earring set from blue glass and sterling silver (I still have it today!). Bitten by the jewelry bug, I made pieces for family, friends, and coworkers. I started selling to those outside my family circle in 2007.
Today I live and work in NH, with the ever-changing New England seasons providing inspiration for my pieces. My approach to creating jewelry is minimalistic - letting each item reflect their own personality and beauty through simple design with a modern feel.
